Mexican Sugar Candies
Number of candies depends on types of figures made
2c. confectioner's sugar
1egg white
1t. corn syrup
1/2t. vanilla
1/3 c. corn flour
Edible vegetable coloring

Place syrup, vanilla and egg white in bowl and mix with wooden spoon or spatula. Sift confectioner's sugar and add to the mixture.

When ingredients are well-mixed, knead into a ball with your fingers. Sprinkle some corn flour on table or other flat surface. Spread out mixture and knead it until it becomes smooth and easy to handle like tortilla dough.

Make small skulls, crosses, coffins, flowers or any other shape. Leave figures on table to dry for three hours, then paint with vegetable coloring.
